The PSU Supporting Staff Council (Hat Yai Campus) was first set up in 2003 according to a regulation of Prince of Songkla University; it is under the supervision of the Vice President for Hat Yai Campus. The council members consists of representative members from each faculty/ or equivqlent organizations in the campus, and nominated members (nominated by the president of the Supporting Staff Council). The number of nominated members may not exceed half of the number of the representative members. The term of the council members is 2-years. Administratively, the Supporting Staff Council is divided into 5 sections, namely, the secretariat, academic and development, public relation, finance, welfare and special activity sections. For the 2004-2005 period, the number of Supporting Staff Council (Hat Yai Campus) members totaled 27.
