On November 30, 2012, Dr. Daniel Clay, Dean of the College of Education at University of Missouri (MU), USA, visited PSU Hat Yai Campus and discuss future collaborative activities between our universities. He was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Amornrat Phongdara, Vice President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Nathavit Portjanatanti, Dean of the Faculty of Education; and representatives from the Faculty of Education and the International Affairs Office.

 Several PSU academics are MU alumni, especially lecturers at the Faculty of Education. Moreover, in January 2013, three more academic staff from this faculty will go to MU for a staff development program.

During the meeting, Dr. Clay expressed his plan to send MU students to teach at the PSU Demonstration School in Pattani Campus, for gaining experience and learning about diverse and multicultural areas. Also, both Deans agreed to organize a Joint International Education Conference in 2014 in Phuket.
