H.E. Mr. Lutfi Rauf, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Thailand, and entourage visited Prince of Songkla University (PSU) on June 6, 2014. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, PSU President, and the PSU administrative team warmly welcomed H.E. at the President’s Office Building, Hat Yai Campus.

At present, PSU has 14 Memorandums of Understanding with Indonesian universities and organizations, including Udayana University, Brawijaya University, State University of Surabaya, Bogor Agricultural University and Universitas Sumatera Utara, among others. We also enrolled more than fifty Indonesian students at many PSU faculties and have successful exchange programs with Trisakti University, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Binus University.

During the meeting, H.E. Mr. Lutfi Rauf mentioned that the aim of his visit is to discuss the possibility to enhance the Indonesian universities cooperation with PSU. This may be in the form of more exchange programs for staff and students, as well as to send even more Indonesian students under the governmental scholarships to study at PSU. The PSU President mentioned that our university’s long-term objectives in collaborating with our Indonesian partners are to establish collaborative research initiatives, focus on areas of mutual interest, and create joint degree programs.
