On August 5, 2014, 18 PSU delegates, led by Prof. Dr. Amornrat Phongdara, Vice President for International Affairs, participated in a study visit to Assumption University (ABAC) in Bangkok. The delegation, composed of Deans, Assistant Deans, and Heads of Department for various faculties in Hat Yai Campus, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Sompit Porsutyaruk, ABAC Vice President for Academic Affairs, and team.

The main objective of the visit was to comprehend the internationalization system of ABAC. Participants had the chance to learn from a detailed PowerPoint presentation and to ask questions regarding the way ABAC deals with various matters regarding their foreign students and staff. Some of the matters discussed concern the recruiting and registration systems, how to take care of the international students, the guidelines for opening a new program, as well as the assessment process of the success in receiving international students.

The study visit, concluded with a campus tour, was beneficial to all participants who will apply the knowledge gained to their own faculty or department.
