PSU proudly received seven awards from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) on Inventor's Day 2013, February 2, 2013. The awards were presented by H.E. Dr. Surapong Tivichakchaikul, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poonsuk Prasertsan from Faculty of Agro - Industry was awarded the National Outstanding Researcher 2013 in the Agricultural and Biology field.

Furthermore, PSU got four awards for outstanding research work, including one award for Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charoen Nakason and his team from the Faculty of Science and Technology, two awards for Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisompop Chitphiromsri from the Faculty of Political Science, and one award for Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duangmanee Chongrak and Asst. Prof. Penprapa Parinyapol from the Faculty of Education.

In addition, Dr. Petcharat Suriyachai, Faculty of Engineering, was presented with an award from her thesis and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Proespichaya Kanatharana and her team from the Faculty of Science were conferred an award for their outstanding invention.
